Auditions
Organising Auditions, Staying Interactive and Promoting my Blog and The Event
For my filming process to proceed the actors and actresses must be officially placed. I did this by creating a Facebook page promoting an Auditions event for the 17th November. Here people across Facebook added they were going to the event and stated they were interested in a role by asking questions on the page and filling out an application form, which was privately messaged to me. Additionally, I got to promote my blog and include promotional marketing techniques to advertise to other Facebook users and inspire the ones which had already applied, this kept me interactive with viewers as well as treating an audience in a professional and fun way.

Above is the basic details on the event, such as the date, time, location and other Facebook features used to communicate with my audience. Additionally, I have added an image (that is NOT mine) above the title to give the page aesthetic and to give the audience an idea of what the trailer will look like. The use of a white dress, a weapon and the forest location suit well to the imagery I am trying to create.
Underneath the banner and basic information, I have a written post for those who are interested in the event and wold like to know more about it. Here I have included details such as; what the event is about also an important notice on age and parental permission as well as the application process.
In this image I attached the application form which my audience had to print and fill out if they wanted to apply. To save the identity of myself and others these images will not display any personal details, I have blurred and drawn black over the names and a red balloon over the profile pictures, with the acceptation of my own.
Above I am using a marketing technique to engage with my audience. Using the date 9th November I used a pun to play on the words - changing it to 'The Knife of November' I am using weapon imagery which is commonly associated with horror movies. As well as this I used a quote from Vincent Price who is iconic in the world of Horror.
Below I am dealing with any comments, queries and/or questions my audience may have.
Although I was intentionally looking for actors and actresses, by allowing this system to go public, I gained offers for behind the scenes staff, and extras such as singing which will go in to the editing process after the footage has been recorded.
From using this social engineered method I have been able to see people who are interested in the event, even if they can not make the day it shows they can be committed in other ways. I now have an idea of people I can use in future for events such as these.
Some interested audiences may have queries considering the specific role they wish to play. This person here asks about height limits to see if he is suitable enough to fit the standards of the young boy.
The above image is myself referring to communication barriers. I am willing to adapt to the needs of other users by using other social medias like email.
CHILD - PERMISSION SLIP
Below I have promoted my blog to gain as much feedback as possible. I would like my blog to be on-going and as interactive as possible.
Informing my audience that the deadline is closed. This is an important detail to the running event. As well as this I used a marketing technique by using a meme image sourced from 'Pinterest'. This image adds humour and a creates visual impact. The use of an image draws attention to the notice, ensuring my audience will not scroll past it but in fact take note of it.
Setting a scene through a visual semantic field.
- Easter Egg Effect
I did this through the use of emoji's. Emoji's 5
Overall, these are the technique I used to stay interactive and entice my audience.
